The National Home Library Foundation makes grants to fund books for libraries, schools and literacy programs serving children, teens or adults in need of reading and learning resources. Grants range from $500 to around $5000.
What We Do
The Trustees meet twice a year to consider applications, including:
-The value of the project to the overall organization requesting support and/or to the community.
-Stability and financial ability of the organization, staff resources and competence to meet the project’s objective.
-Future ability to maintain the project and its impact, including community support.
Submit an Application
While grant requests from all areas of the United States are considered and awarded, the Board of Trustees encourages and gives preference to requests from the Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia area.
